Doherty expected a rather “shorter” guest list for her funeral.

“I think there are a lot of people who would show up that I don’t want there,” she said. “I don’t want them there because their reasons for showing up aren’t necessarily the best. Like, they don’t really like me and, you know, they have their reasons and that’s fine, but they don’t really like me enough to come to my funeral.”

“(They’re going to show up) because it’s politically correct and they don’t want to look bad. So I want to take the pressure off them and I want my funeral to be like a love fest. I don’t want people to cry or to secretly say, ‘Thank God that bitch is dead now,'” Doherty added.

Do I need three dining tables?” she asked herself. “The answer is no, none of us really need all the stuff we have and we could all do with a little slimming down to avoid becoming a hoarder, which is what I did with all my furniture.”

She then said that in her final years, she focused on creating memories with friends and family rather than material things.

“I don’t need that, it doesn’t really give me much joy, but what gives me great joy is taking my mother to the places she’s always wanted to see,” she said, adding: “I get to build other memories – I get to build memories with the people I love.
