The episode began with an emotional performance from Aqua, fueled by his painful memories of the murder of his mother, Ai Hoshino. In the previous episode, during the stage play Tokyo Blade, Akane Kurokawa’s character, Princess Saya, sacrificed herself to save Aqua’s character, Touki.

Saya’s death enraged Touki and caused him to attack Taiki Himekawa’s character Blade. As the audience watched the final battle of the play, Aqua relived his tragic past, thinking about how many times he had wished he could save Ai and imagining how different his life could have been.

Although Blade ultimately defeated Touki, it was revealed that Saya had used her powers to heal everyone, friend and foe alike, resulting in a truce. The play ended with the Shibuya and Shinjuku factions ending their conflict.

After the performance, the audience and people close to the actors applauded the actors. Akane’s former colleagues from the first season of the dating reality show praised her as a brilliant actress.

But Akane felt the greatest fulfillment when she caught a glimpse of the version of Kana Arima that she had idolized as a child.

After the play, the production staff and actors went out to celebrate. Aqua took the opportunity to get closer to the play’s director, Toshiro Kindaichi. During their conversation, the director revealed that a group of student actors, including himself, had formed the Lala Lai Theatrical Company.

Toshiro explained that while his company had worked on various workshops and productions in the early days, many of these projects had failed. When Aqua asked him for more details, the director avoided talking about his past failures.

Curious about his mentor’s setbacks, Taiki took Aqua and Toshiro to a private bar frequented by actors in the hope of learning more.

Unfortunately, the director drank too much and passed out. Then it turned out that Aqua had been intentionally trying to get closer to Taiki all this time – a DNA test showed that they had the same biological father.
