The Cleveland Cavaliers will be an interesting group to watch as they have a core of young players ready to take the next step together.

The Cavaliers have secured their key players Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen with contract extensions, signaling that they are now ready to compete.

Despite facing teams like the Boston Celtics, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland has the size and athleticism to keep up.

Now the focus turns to the rest of the team, as they are probably still missing one or two players to clear the hurdle.

At this point in the off-season, not many changes are possible other than minor comments.

With that in mind, the team has found a new two-way player in JT Thor, the former Charlotte Hornets draft pick, via Shams Charania of The Athletic.

According to sources, free agent striker JT Thor has agreed to a two-way NBA contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers @TheAthletic @Stadium“Thor – a second-round pick by Charlotte in 2021 – averaged seven points and five rebounds in South Sudan’s games at the Paris Olympics,” Charania reported.

Thor last played for South Sudan, a spirited team that didn’t go down without a fight, and that was enough for him to secure another NBA contract.

Thor was originally the 37th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft and is still young enough to show some potential. This is a good gamble for the Cavaliers, who could use another versatile forward on the team.

He will likely spend most of his time in the G League, but his development behind the scenes could be worth it.
