Strictly’s Joe Sugg talks about dancing in the kitchen with girlfriend Dianne Buswell
Strictly Come Dancing star Joe Sugg has revealed he still dances regularly with his girlfriend and former dance partner Dianne Buswell.
The two were partners in the successful BBC show in 2018 and Joe and Dianne made it to the final.
The couple confirmed their romance shortly after the end of the series and have been living together since August 2019. In an exclusive interview with Digital SpyJoe admitted that the two often enjoy spinning around together at home.

“Dianne and I still dance whenever we can,” he tells us. “For example, when she’s home, we do a little ballroom dance in the kitchen, which is really fun, and she says I haven’t lost it, which is good.”
Joe still prefers ballroom dancing to Latin dancing, adding jokingly, “Latin dancing – maybe a little (practice). Hips are a little rusty as you get older.”
With Joe’s last appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 being five years ago, he admits he would now be less confident about returning to the dancefloor if the opportunity arose.

“If I were asked now whether I would perform live in front of all these people again on Saturday night, I would probably get nervous again,” he says. Digital Spy. “I would think a little bit, ‘Oh, I don’t know if I can do this now.'”
Instead, Joe is happy to co-host the Strictly behind-the-scenes podcast with Kim Weston, which returned as a companion program to the 2023 series.
Joe has also been very active in the podcast space this year, releasing his first podcast series titled Username Resurgent. The 10-part audio adventure – featuring the voices of Shadow and Bone star Kit Young and Queen Charlotte’s India Amarteifio – centers on a true crime story set in the same world as Joe’s bestselling Username comic series.
