(BPRW) Black Girl Vitamins and Howard University Announce Multi-Year Partnership as Official Vitamin Sponsor for the University’s Women’s Basketball Team

The partnership is a sign of empowerment, underscores the strength and resilience of black women, and marks a historic collaboration between an HBCU and a black business

(Black PR Wire) Black Girl Vitamins, a groundbreaking wellness brand dedicated to the unique health needs of Black women, is proud to announce an exciting and groundbreaking multi-year partnership with prestigious HBCU, Howard University – Bison Women’s Basketball Team, providing direct financial sponsorship and essential vitamins to players and coaches.

The partnership between Black Girl Vitamins and Howard University comes at a pivotal time – Howard University is celebrating 50 years of women’s sports with a storied tradition that includes nine MEAC regular season titles and 11 tournament victories over the past five decades. This is an important step toward equity, inclusion and empowerment of Black women – and addresses the historic underrepresentation, underserved and underfunded nature of women’s sports, particularly in college basketball.

I am so excited about this partnership! As a huge supporter of those making a positive impact in the black community and beyond, Black Girl Vitamins has created a brand and product that promotes health and wellness for us. I look forward to the great things ahead!

About Black Girl Vitamins

Our mission is to ensure that black women continue to succeed. Black Girl Vitamins was founded to improve the well-being of black women everywhere – by providing us with easily accessible, affordable and effective supplements of essential vitamins and minerals that combat chronic deficiencies and correct cosmetic concerns.

When black women are healthy, so are our communities. While most over-the-counter vitamin supplements for women meet FDA guidelines, these guidelines often do not take into account our individual health and nutritional needs, including nutrient deficiencies. As women of color, we are often deficient in important vitamins like magnesium, calcium, iron, folate – and black women in particular lack vitamin D because our pigmentation reduces production in the skin. Vitamin D protects against chronic diseases like heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and certain cancers. It is also linked to conditions like depression, high blood pressure, colon, breast, and prostate cancer, and obesity.

Unwavering commitment to our culture. Our company is our culture. By carefully curating a selection of ingredients, we strive to create high-quality nutritional supplements tailored to us and for us.
