The partnership between Black Girl Vitamins and Howard University comes at a pivotal time – Howard University is celebrating 50 years of women’s sports with a storied tradition that includes nine MEAC regular season titles and 11 tournament victories over the past five decades. This is an important step toward equity, inclusion and empowerment of Black women – and addresses the historic underrepresentation, underserved and underfunded nature of women’s sports, particularly in college basketball.

​Since its inception, Black Girl Vitamins has led the way in promoting health and wellness in the Black community, offering a line of vitamins specifically designed to meet the nutritional needs of Black women. As part of its commitment to education, the company awards a $1,000 school scholarship each month to a deserving Black student. In addition to the monthly scholarship program, Black Girl Vitamins has committed to awarding up to $100,000 this year to advance the careers of Black healthcare professionals because when Black women are healthy, so are our communities.
