After Sanjay Dut and Sonakshi Sinha, another actor is not part of the ensemble of “Son of Sardaar 2” no longer because the producers threw Vijay Raaz out of the film, allegedly because of too high demands during the shoot and because working with him was too difficult.

Days after the sequel began shooting in the UK with lead actors Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, along with Raaz, Chunky Pandey, Deepak Dobriyal, Vindu Dara Singh, Neeru Bajwa, Kubbra Sait, Mukul Dev, Roshni Walia, Mukul Dev and Ashwini Kalsekar, the makers replaced the ‘Welcome’ Actor with Sanjay Mishra for the role.Vijay Raaz, Ajay Devgn, son of Sardaar 2 The film’s co-producer, Kumar Mangat Pathak, confirmed this development in a statement to an Indian media outlet: “Yes, it is true that we have removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behaviour on the sets.”

He further explained, “He demanded bigger rooms, a vanity van and also charged too much for the spot boys. The UK is an expensive country and during the shoot everyone got standard rooms but he demanded premium suites. When we tried to explain the cost situation to him, he refused to understand and spoke rudely. While we tried to meet all his demands, his behavior got worse and worse as his demands never ended.”

Raaz, however, told his side of the story and claimed that he was removed from the project for not greeting the lead actor. He stated, “I reached the shooting location before the negotiations began. I reached the van and Ravi Kishan came to meet me. The EP, Ashish and producer Kumar Mangat came to meet me followed by director Vijay Arora. I got out of the van and spotted Ajay Devgn standing about 25 feet away. I did not go to greet him as he was busy and continued talking to my friends nearby. 25 minutes later, Mr. Kumar Mangat came to me and said, ‘Hum Aapko Nikal Rahe Hai (We’re throwing you out of the movie.)”

“My only misconduct was that I did not greet Mr Ajay Devgn. I was taken out of the film 30 minutes after I arrived on the set for not greeting Ajay Devgn,” he insisted.

Responding to the allegations, the producers said in their defence, “Ajay Devgn is not someone who waits for people to greet him. He always likes to be around creative people and treats everyone with respect. The story that he was removed for not greeting Ajay Devgn is false. We have lost at least two crores by removing Vijay Raaz from the film and we would not take such a step over petty issues.”

“His behavior was a big problem and there is no room for disrespect on the sets of our film as we work like a family,” the producer added. “There is no room for unprofessional behavior. It is good that we removed him before the shooting began as his presence and behavior would have caused a lot of problems on the set.”

“We have not fired him for not greeting Ajay Devgn, but for unreasonable demands and misbehaviour towards the crew. He has now even refused to return the advance he was given,” the producer claimed at the end.
