Episode 8 of “A Journey Through Another World” is scheduled to air on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 1:50 a.m. JST on TV Tokyo in Japan. For international viewers, this means a daytime release on Sunday, August 18 at approximately 4:50 p.m. GMT / 12:50 p.m. ET / 9:50 a.m. PT. Expected plot in A Journey Through Another World, Episode 8
According to the title preview at the end of the last episode, episode 8 of “A Journey Through Another World” will be titled “Crab! Crab!” In this episode, Takuma and the twins will likely continue their training in water magic in the Sea Village. As they explore the village, viewers may also be introduced to new merpeople.
The title of the episode hints at the possible appearance of a crab or crab-like monster, likely posing a new challenge for the White Wings group. Episode 8 of “A Journey Through Another World” will likely focus on the world-building aspects of the series.
A Journey Through Another World, Episode 7, Summary
A Journey Through Another World, Episode 7, titled Mermaids! Dragons!, continues with the High Priestess of the Mermaids thanking Takuma, Elena, and Alan for their help. She assures Takuma that her conversation with the Water God’s aide will remain confidential.
The High Priestess then introduces Galdo, the leader of the Merpeople, and explains that her title as head of the Azure Palace is mostly ceremonial. Although Takuma initially refuses a reward, the High Priestess insists on returning her kindness.
In episode 7 of “A Journey Through Another World”, Takuma asks to learn water magic and the High Priestess agrees, also offering them access to a storage room that the merpeople consider a garbage dump, but which is full of items valuable to humans.
The next day, Galdo teaches Takuma and the twins water magic, which they quickly understand and perform precisely. Meanwhile, in the realm of the gods, Sylphareel scolds the water god’s follower for associating Takuma with the merpeople.
On the mortal plane, a giant water dragon, another follower of the Water God, approaches the trio. The dragon recognizes the twins as children of the Water God and makes a contract with Takuma, taking the name Kaiser in episode 7 of “A Journey Through Another World”.
The dragon offers to take the twins with him so he can protect them better, but the twins and Takuma refuse. Then Takuma realizes that the dragon had no intention of doing this and only wanted to test the bond between Takuma and the children.
Kaiser then gives Takuma a dragon scale to track his location, then swims back to the Sea Village with the trio. Episode 7 of “A Journey Through Another World” ends with the twins reaffirming their desire to stay with Takuma.
