Prince Harry couldn’t resist a little dance as he met children on the second day of his trip to Colombia – a day after Meghan was filmed dancing enthusiastically while taking part in a special cultural event.

The Duke, 39, and Duchess of Sussex, 43, were greeted by Colombia’s Vice President Francia Marquez and her husband Rafael Yerney Pinillo after arriving in the country on Thursday to begin a four-day tour.

That evening, the couple attended a performance at the Centro Nacional de las Artes Delia Zapata Olivella (CNA), which focused on the arts of Bogotá. After being welcomed by Culture Minister Juan David Correa and CNA Director Xiomara Suescún, they were treated to theater, music and dance performances. A video showing Meghan in a dance session with locals went viral.

On Friday morning, the couple then visited the La Giralda school in the center of Bogotá, a district with particularly dangerous and violent suburbs. There they were treated to traditional Colombian music performances that the children had prepared for the couple’s arrival.

Dancing was also on the agenda this time. Prince Harry was filmed breaking into a shimmy during the visit.

As with their other engagements, Meghan and Harry were accompanied by security guards carrying a bulletproof briefcase to protect the couple from potential shooters. At each event they attended, the security guard could be seen jumping out of a vehicle in front of the couple, folding shield in hand.

He was also seen on Friday morning, but his presence did not seem to impress the prince, who began to tremble during the engagement.

Video footage of the event shows the father of two doing his best dad dance move, bending his knees, shaking his hips and circling his shoulders and arms.

The bulletproof shield used by the local security service to protect the couple is called a ballistic briefcase and is also used to protect the country’s vice president, Francia Marquez, who is hosting the visit and has been the target of several assassination attempts.

Security websites describe the ballistic briefcase as a discreet personal protection and quickly deployable security device.

Its non-threatening appearance and easy portability make it ideal for executives, bodyguards and VIP bodyguards.

It can be quickly deployed with one hand, providing a significant line of defense against ballistic and fragmentation attacks.

During the engagement, the couple visited Santa Fe, known as the red-light district of Bogotá because of its deadly mix of prostitution, drugs and violence. According to locals, the area is best avoided at night.

It was featured in the Apple TV series “No Go Zones” and was described as an area where “Colombian gangsters and pimps rule and all manner of homeless people and addicts find their way into the Bogotá wasteland.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were escorted to the school in the Santa Fe district under tight security. At least 16 armored police vehicles, as well as armed officers and soldiers, were spotted patrolling before their arrival.

Their visit to the school, which is overlooked by run-down apartment blocks and several dilapidated favelas clinging to the nearby hills, comes despite Harry raising concerns about his security arrangements during his visit to the UK.

During the performance, the couple were greeted by the school’s principal, Serafin Ordoñez, before the Duke and Duchess took part in a short tour along with the country’s Vice President, Francia Marquez.

The couple watched an art class, visited a kindergarten class and got involved by helping the young students plant trees in the school garden.

Later in the day, the couple attended a private lunch with Vice President Francia Marquez before meeting with members of Colombia’s Invictus Games team as they prepare for the 2025 Games in Whistler, Canada.

They met with athletes who were training at the Centro de Rehabilitacion Inclusiva for the games founded by the Duke.

The couple were greeted by military officials and then toured the center’s swimming pool, climbing wall and rehabilitation facilities, talking to the athletes about their training programs.

“It’s amazing to see how many people can come together to form a team,” Harry told a member of the Invictus team as he toured the center’s cardiovascular room, and Meghan said it was “all incredible to see.”

They were accompanied by Colombia’s Vice President Francia Marquez and her partner Rafael Yerney Pinillo, who took part in the volleyball game together with Harry.

After the game, Harry spoke to a group of Korean War veterans and the couple toured the center’s art gallery, which featured artwork created by Invictus athletes.

Harry’s dance routine during the engagement wasn’t the first time he broke out a groove during the four-day trip.

On the couple’s first day on Thursday, the Duke got into the mood for a traditional performance with some dance numbers.

And it seems Harry got caught up in the lively atmosphere as he bounced back and forth on the sidelines, watching his wife show off her impressive dance moves.

The prince seemed to be in a great mood, clapping his hands and beaming as Meghan joined the dancers in the middle of the room.

He and his wife enjoyed a colorful theater performance of the play “The Kiss of the Hummingbird.”

Harry watched as the outfits were explained to him, which included colorful feather headdresses decorated with exotic birds.

At the end of the performance, Harry and Meghan shook hands with the dancers and the Duke said to one of them: “These costumes are incredible.”

Harry is known for dancing on tour and has been spotted showing off his moves on several previous tours.

During his stay in Jamaica in 2012, the then 27-year-old royal demonstrated his good sense of rhythm when he danced to a rendition of “One Love” by reggae legend Bob Marley.

Meanwhile, in 2013, he was filmed attempting to master a traditional dance in Lesotho.

Wearing jeans and desert boots, the then 28-year-old took part in an improvised dance performance on his knees in the dust.
