Malaysian airlines and services affected by international IT outage so far

KUALA LUMPUR, July 19 – A global IT outage is causing chaos among transport companies, especially airlines, including in Malaysia.

Here is a list of airlines and other services that have so far confirmed to be affected by the Microsoft and CrowdStrike outage.

Affected:

1. AirAsia – Reservation and check-in system affected. Customers may experience slower check-ins and longer queues.

2. Firefly Airlines – Booking system failure. Customers are currently unable to book flights, manage bookings or check in online.

3. Railway service providers KTMB – Ticket system and complaint channels in the customer service center affected.

4. Railway service providers KLIA Express – Tickets cannot be booked online or via app or e-wallet. Customers must purchase tickets at the counter.

5. Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd announced that there was a system outage in both the mySESB applications and the web portal.

1. Airports in Malaysia says its network of airports in Malaysia is not affected, but some airlines have experienced disruptions
