Honda CB Hornet 160R available for 87,800 INR (street legal) » MotorOctane

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has launched its new Street Naked Sportbike – the Honda CB Hornet 160R at INR 87,800 (on-road, Delhi). This is Honda’s 15th launch in India in 2015.

The CB Hornet 160R has a sharp and angular headlight with dual position lamps and upward facing side indicators. The new generation X-shaped LED tail lamp improves the rear view of the bike. The forward-leaning dynamic tank covers with carbon pattern tank cover add more power to the bike. The new aircraft-style fuel tap also looks good. A fully digital gauge improves the overall quality. The CB Hornet 160R is powered by Honda’s 163cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine, which is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The Honda CB Hornet 160R was first unveiled at the Honda RevFest in August this year and dealers across the country had already started accepting bookings for the Hornet a week ago.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Keita Muramatsu – President and CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd said, “Indian youth are extremely ambitious and confident, they believe in their dreams. We are also proud to announce that the CB Hornet 160R will be one of the first motorcycles in its category to meet BS-IV norms, well ahead of the regulatory deadline that comes into force in April 2017.”

The all-new CB Hornet 160R is more premium than the Unicorn 160 launched earlier this year. It will compete with bikes like Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ-S FI.
