The bow tie has been on everyone’s lips for some time now and the trend shows no signs of slowing down: fashion editors, influencers and celebrities alike enjoy adding a feminine touch to their clothes, hair and accessories.

The reason we’re so confident this pretty top will disappear quickly is because M&S’s similar tie-front style went viral and flew off the shelves earlier this summer. It pairs perfectly with shorts or linen trousers, no wonder Radio 1 DJ Vick Hope was a fan.

What we love about the bow trend—which was kicked off by Simone Rocha, who sent models down the runway of her Fall/Winter 2023 collection with applied ribbons on their faces—is that you can accentuate it as much or as little as you like.

While A-list celebs like Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez like to tie them in their hair, if that’s not your thing, you can try something more subtle like bow earrings or a swimsuit with bow straps, or jazz it up with a statement bow on the bodice of a dress.
