Our country’s two biggest living drag acts are coming together to join in the yee-haw of it all. Prince and the Police impersonator Bruno Mars is collaborating with Nancy Sinatra and Bruce Springsteen impersonator Lady Gaga on a new duet called “Die With a Smile.” “WHILE YOU WAIT TILL LG7…” Gaga wrote on August 15. Both pop stars are dressed in red and blue rodeo outfits in the music video and on the single’s cover. The song itself is another example of traditional pop acts embracing country this year. but despite the yee-haw style, the song sounds like it would fit best on an adult contemporary playlist. We’re guessing the two little royals (Gaga is 5’11” and Mars is 5’5″) met while trying to stack themselves on top of each other in a trench coat to ride the Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster.

The same night the song was released, the duo performed it live for the first time. Mars opened the brand new arena in Inglewood, California, the Intuit Dome on August 15th and brought Gaga along as a surprise guest during his encore. She wore the same hair and eyelashes as in the music video, and the two sat at their instruments and drummed like they do. Please post the live version.
