Owner of Aey Plus Flooring arrested in Pennsylvania


Grove City, PA, August 16, 2024 – Ashley Roth, owner of Aey Plus Flooring in Grove City, Pennsylvania, is in the Mercer County Jail on charges of taking money from several customers and failing to complete the work she was hired to do, WFMJ reports.

The 30-year-old was initially arrested for allegedly taking $3,300 from a New Castle couple for renovations on the porch of their home and then failing to complete the work.

“The couple told police they were unable to reach Roth’s Aey Plus Flooring, also known as Black Dolphin in Grove City.

“Roth is being charged under state law because it is illegal to accept payment in advance for a service and then fail to provide that service.”

“Police say Roth received payments of $2,814 and $1,961 from the victims, but did not deliver the flooring or do the work.

“According to a criminal complaint, Roth bought the business from the previous owner in November.

“AEY Plus Flooring & Remodeling has an “F” rating from the Better Business Bureau.

“The BBB website lists three customer complaints filed this year to which the company has not responded.”
