The Reunion – Actors agree: Show is: “Why you are who you are”

In the trailer for “Dance Moms: The Reunion,” the cast is reunited for the first time in 10 years – and they have a lot to talk about

Dancing mothersThe long-awaited reunion is just around the corner.

The trailer for Dance Moms: The Reuniona two-hour special event that sees many of the original cast members — moms included! — reunite to reflect on the iconic Lifetime series, which aired Wednesday, giving fans their first taste of what to expect when the popular girls get back together.

The Dancing mothers Former star members who took part in the reunion special included JoJo Siwa, Chloé Lukasiak, Brooke Hyland, Paige Hyland, Kendall Vertes and Kalani Hilliker. Nia Sioux and Maddie and Kenzie Ziegler were noticeably absent – which did not go unnoticed.

In the trailer, between touching clips of the girls on the show a decade ago and reflections on what it feels like to look back, Siwa, 20, and Vertes, 21, appear to criticize the Zieglers for not attending the reunion events.

“We wouldn’t be here without Dancing mothers“…it was literally the springboard for what we are today,” Vertes says of the group.

In the next clip, Siwa seems to take a more direct swipe at Maddie and Kenzie’s absence. “Their absence is like me saying, ‘Let me erase my past, pretend it never happened and shove it down the drain.’ When it’s like that’s why you are who you are,” she says, as Hilliker, 23, sits next to her and nods in agreement.

Among the topics the girls and their mothers analyze in the trailer are Brooke and Paige’s withdrawal from dancing, for which the mother says she is to blame, and the girls’ feelings toward their former coach Abby Lee Miller, who is conspicuously absent from the reunion.
