Madonna’s dance battle with Jimmy Fallon is a neon dream
You might be wondering, “Where’s the party?” but it’s actually August 16th because it’s practically a national holiday – it’s Madonna’s birthday.

Madonna and Fallon have dressed up for their dance competition, wearing sunglasses and matching black jumpsuits covered in neon stripes.
“The Roots will play us a beat and Madonna and I will take turns showing off our best dance moves,” Fallon explained to the audience.
Madonna being Madonna, he let her go first. When the studio lights were turned off, the “Hung Up” singer turned into a red neon stick figure and sent the crowd into a frenzy. Tron Trance with her electric footwork.
“Why am I even trying?!” Fallon said after she finished. When the lights dimmed again, Fallon’s suit glowed blue and he resorted to classic moves like the running man with a few booty shakes thrown in. Madonna referred to these as “his grandpa moves” after his solo show was over.
“I think I pulled something,” admitted a breathless Fallon.
The dance duo each turned around once before joining forces to get into the neon groove together.
“I hope you stretched your hamstring,” Madonna told Fallon. “Come here. It requires looseness,” she said, bending down to show him the correct form as he joined in.
Although no official winner has been announced yet, when you compete against Madonna in a dance competition, the competition is essentially over before it even begins.

Even though their Neon Dance Battle was over, their confessions on the dance floor later went into Madonna’s Tonight Show visit, where she taught Fallon and the audience the “Cha Cha Cha” moves from “Medellín,” the first single from her 2019 album, Madam X.
Fallon lived his best Blonde Ambition Tour Life – and as for Madonna, this clip only proves that she always “causes a commotion” when she is on The Tonight Show.
