Teenager injured in shooting in northwest Baltimore


BALTIMORE — A 16-year-old girl was injured in a shooting in northwest Baltimore Friday afternoon, Baltimore police said. The incident occurred in the 3800 block of Chatham Road, where Northwest District patrol officers responded around 4:57 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found the juvenile victim inside a residence with a gunshot wound to the upper body. The girl was immediately transported to a local hospital where she is currently in stable condition.

The investigation was taken over by the Northwest District Shooting Investigators.

“Detectives are currently actively investigating this incident,” Baltimore police said in a statement.
