Cleveland Browns sign former Packers player they played against last week

The Cleveland Browns played their first preseason game of the year against the Green Bay Packers last Saturday, and now they have re-signed one of the players they used.

The Browns have signed Tyler Coyle, who they played against last week when he was with the Packers, the team announced.

Coyle played two years in the NFL, both years with the Dallas Cowboys. He did not play a major role in those two seasons.

During his two-year career with the Cowboys, Coyle played in three games and recorded eight total tackles. Obviously, there aren’t many examples of him in the NFL.

At 25, Coyle hopes to find his feet in Cleveland and carve out a role for himself. While this isn’t a huge signing, he’s still young and will have a chance to prove what he can do.

During his college football career, which he spent between Connecticut and Purdue, Coyle showed some playmaking ability. He was also a sure tackler.

Coyle played for the Cowboys last season and was also on the Green Bay Packers practice squad. Now he will be at the Browns’ training camp and the final two preseason games. If he gets time on the field, he will have to impress the coaching staff to earn a spot.

The best case scenario for Coyle would most likely be to be signed to Cleveland’s practice squad. It will be interesting to see what he looks like now that he has joined the Browns.
