Based in Brooklyn The psych-rock quintet ZEBEDEE presents its lively, contemporary second studio album, Get nowhere quicklyis now available everywhere. Alongside the full version, the band also releases the full version of their official video “Fast Edee”. With this project, the band expands their sound universe with booming drums, gentle guitar riffs and honest, thoughtful lyricism.

Get nowhere quickly, ZEBEDEE’s second project is an ode to the band’s love of neo-psych and desert rock sounds. Fuzzy guitar riffs, glistening synths and post-punk drums blend together to create a captivating, robust sound that is all their own. The songs were written by Row and his wife and band guitarist Kelsey Van Mook, who are able to channel their love and mutual understanding into their music. It was produced by GRAMMY award-winning engineer Daniel Avila and recorded, mixed and mastered at Flux Recording Studios in Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

Throughout the album, Row managed to channel his frustration with the state of the world into powerful instrumentation, and also carried that passion into the lively live shows. The collection of ten songs is a commentary on today’s world and the human condition – what it means to find your way in the world, to grapple with societal issues and not to get lost in a spiral of despair.

Crafting the project amid COVID caused the band to reflect on their work and goals. Row says that when recording “I was obviously pretty angry about the state of this country and all its flaws. But since I wasn’t born here, but chose to live in this big, beautiful garbage can fire of a country, I thought it gave me an interesting perspective to comment on it. The lyrics are often about the sad, desperate, self-centered reality we live in and the defense mechanisms we use to cope with it.”
