It turns out that Collector’s Meals are more popular at McDonald’s than even the fast food company had expected. One company boss even warned that the dishes would sell out quickly.

Guillaume Huin, Senior Marketing Director at McDonald’s, posted on X how quickly the Collector Cups are being bought.

“The Collector Cups are literally going faster than we ever expected or saw. Friendly advice: If you want them, get to your local restaurant ASAP,” Huin wrote.

McDonald’s on Tuesday introduced the “Collector’s Meal,” which includes a choice of breakfast or lunch items plus one of six collectible cups inspired by the chain’s connection to iconic toys, movies, pop culture and more.

“Over the years, our fans have developed a special connection with McDonald’s collectibles,” McDonald’s said in a press release. “From Happy Meal toys to merchandise, games and mugs, these keepsakes are more than just things – they evoke core memories of some of our favorite McDonald’s moments.”

The cups represent “classic souvenirs” of McDonald’s long-standing partnerships dating back to the 1980s.

According to the chain, fans want to “take a memory into their hands” with the collector’s cups.

The cups are part of a McDonald’s “Collector’s Meal” that will be available throughout the day. Each meal includes one cup and the choice of a Sausage McMuffin with egg sandwich, hash brown and hot coffee during breakfast hours, or 10 Chicken McNuggets or Big Mac with fries and a soft drink during the rest day.
