WATCH: MDLLA Season 15 Episode 7 Preview

It’s that time again and we have a preview of season 15, episode 7 of MDLLA.

Even the Altman brothers knock on doors from time to time. Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles Star Matt Altman happened to drive by a huge house in Encino and ended up talking to the owner and builder Shawn. A realtor was already involved, but no paperwork had been signed. So Matt and Josh Altman went the next day to convince Shawn that they were the right duo for the property.

Josh was shocked at the size of the 1,858 square foot home with the huge glass entrance. He said, “That’s a house? It looks like a temple.” Or like the entrance to a mall. Shawn let the two in to give them a tour. He also reminded Josh and Matt that he already had a realtor. But did that realtor have a TV show?

Josh noted that the house is fair game until the listing contract is signed. He said, “We want to eliminate the competition before there is any. I love breaking records.” Would Shawn give the Altman brothers the green light to sell his property?

MDLLA Season 15, Episode 7 Preview: Josh and Matt have three weeks to sell a $25 million listing before another broker wins the deal

Not only did the house look like a giant shopping mall from the outside, but the inside as well. The kitchen had two of everything: two ovens, two refrigerators, and two kitchen islands. Josh said that because this house was in Encino, “you get more for your money.” However, this house was anything but cheap.

The master bedroom was 370 square feet and “fit for a king.” It also had two master bathrooms and two studio-apartment-sized closets. Matt said, “This is the craziest closet I’ve seen in my entire career.” Josh estimated that it would take a million dollars worth of clothing to fill one of them. That seems cheap, to be honest.

So how much would this house cost? Shawn wanted to list it at the low price of $25 million. Josh said that would be a record sale in Encino. He added, “That turns me on, I’m not going to lie.” Shawn told them they had 22 days to get the house ready for a buyer. Once the furniture was in place, he would sign a contract with the other agent. But was that ethical for Josh and Matt?

Tracy Tutor and Josh Flagg chimed in. Tracy noted that if the agent didn’t get a brokerage signed, anyone could “sell the house from under their noses.” Flagg added, “That’s how Altman has done business in the past. I’m not shocked.” Josh said their motto is “Ready, fire, finish.”

When an opportunity presents itself, they’ll take it. So the Altman brothers had three weeks to sell the house. And recently, they sold their Trousdale listing in less than 30 days. All they had to do was be ready, get going, and aim.

“Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles” continues Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
