Rock band Oasis adds UK dates to their reunion tour as fans vie for tickets

LONDON, Aug 29 (Reuters) – Oasis on Thursday announced three additional dates for their comeback tour of Britain and Ireland, citing unprecedented demand from fans keen to see the band live for the first time in 15 years.

The group, whose debut album “Definitely Maybe” was released 30 years ago, split up in 2009 when lead guitarist and main songwriter Noel Gallagher said he could no longer work with singer Liam after a series of public disputes between the brothers.

The band initially announced 14 shows, the first of which will take place in Cardiff in July 2025, followed by nights in Manchester – where the band was formed in 1991 -, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.

To ensure that as many fans as possible have a chance to get tickets before they go on general sale on Saturday, a pre-sale lottery started on Tuesday.

Due to unprecedented demand, Oasis added three UK dates to the tour, including additional concerts in Manchester, London and Edinburgh, the band announced on X.
