WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Recently, the Wake Forest women’s golf team Rachel Kuehn And Mimi Rhodes end their amateur careers in style at the 2024 Curtis Cup at Sunningdale Golf Club in Sunningdale, England.

This is Kuehn’s third appearance (’20, ’22) at the Curtis Cup and Rhodes’ first. Both will also advance to the second phase of the LPGA Qualifying School in Florida in October.

Kuehn completed her fifth and final season in 2023–24, capping a stellar career that included leading the Wake Forest women’s golf team to its first-ever NCAA National Championship in 2023 and the Demon Deacons’ eighth ACC title in 2024. Kuehn won two individual titles in her final season, including the ACC Championship, becoming the first mother-daughter duo to win ACC individual titles alongside her mother, Brenda, who won the individual title in 1986. Kuehn also earned her eighth individual victory at the NCAA Regionals, moving into the third-most all-time in program history. Kuehn was also named to the All-ACC team for the fourth consecutive year after going under par in 26 of her 32 rounds and having her score count for the team at every tournament of the season.

Kuehn, who received her master’s degree in sports media last year after completing her degree in business administration and business management, won the ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year award in 2023 and 2024 and was named to the All-ACC Academic team for the fourth consecutive year.

The Asheville, North Carolina native was named to the ACC Honor Roll for the fifth time in 2024 and was named a WGCA All-American Scholar. Kuehn was also selected as Wake Forest’s nominee for the Mary Garber Award, given to the ACC female athlete of the year.

Rhodes was a three-time All-ACC honoree and started every single event in her four years at Wake Forest. She earned six top-20 finishes in eight events during the 2023-24 season, including her best finish of third at the Schooner Classic in September.

At the 2024 NCAA Championships, Wake Forest was led by Rhodes, who finished T10 and earned NCAA All-America honors. Three of Rhodes’ four rounds were even or under par, highlighted by her final-round score of 70, which was two under par and the lowest single-round score of any Deac all week. Rhodes finishes her career at Wake Forest with eight top-10 finishes and a career-high 71.48 in her final season.
