Bunge Global Insider reduced its stake by 19% last year

Looking at Bunge Global SA’s (NYSE:BG) insider transactions over the last year, we can see that insiders were net sellers. That is, more shares were sold by insiders than bought.

While we would never suggest that investors should base their decisions solely on the activities of a company’s management, we think it is perfectly logical to keep an eye on the activities of insiders.

The last 12 months of insider transactions at Bunge Global

The largest single sale by an insider in the last twelve months was when Agribusiness Co-President Christos Dimopoulos sold US$2.1 million worth of shares at a price of US$103 per share. That means an insider sold shares at around the current price of US$101. While insider selling is a negative, we see it as an even greater negative if shares are sold at a lower price. We note that this sale occurred at around the current price, so it’s not a huge cause for concern, but hardly a good sign. Christos Dimopoulos was the only single insider to sell in the last year.
