Ceiling: Maxey continues to improve his performance and makes it into the All-NBA squad this time.

At some point Maxey will reach his maximum growth, but you can’t bet on it. His stats seem to be constantly improving from season to season, but he can still reach another level.

In a perfect world, the 23-year-old could combine the performance of his last season (25.9 points, 6.2 assists) with the efficiency of his previous two seasons (48.3% shooting from the field, 43.1% from the three-point line).

The 2020 first-round pick may lose some stats due to the arrival of George (and a hopefully more available Embiid), but the hope is that the extra help will improve Maxey’s efficiency.

He was a first-time All-Star last season and the league’s most improved player. If he continues his upward trajectory, All-NBA honors could be next.

Floor: He has some stuff, but it’s not the most efficient, and Philly’s offense as a whole is never the sum of its parts.

It was incredible how Maxey’s shooting performance improved. In four years, he went from an average of 0.5 three-pointers at 30.1 percent shooting to 3.0 three-pointers at 37.3 percent.

It’s fair to wonder whether he can maintain that level of efficiency, especially as he tries to find his feet with a largely revamped roster.

The Kentucky product is also less of a natural playmaker and more of a scorer who can create, which could be a big difference maker as there are a lot of mouths to feed in this offense and not everyone plays at the same speed and style.

The responsibility of assembling that roster will fall to Maxey, but he may lack the passing skills needed to solve that puzzle.
