All 12 teams will take the field today to play their first game in the competition and begin their quest for the world title. Schedule & Results

In the first game of the U-15 Baseball World Cup, Mexico and South Africa will face each other at the Estadio Edgar Renteria in Barranquilla. This will be their first game in a U-15 Baseball World Cup, as they played in different groups in 2014 and 2022, the only two tournaments in which both teams faced each other. First pitch is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.

The Netherlands and Chinese Taipei will play the first game at 10:30 a.m. in Cartagena de Indias. They have never played each other before in a U-15 Baseball World Cup. In 2018, Chinese Taipei played in Group A and advanced to the Super Round as third, while the Europeans finished fourth in Group B.

Puerto Rico will face Guam in the 3rd match of the World Cup in Barranquilla. The match will start at 3 p.m. This will be their second match since they played in Hermosillo, Mexico on August 30, 2022 during the opening round of the World Cup. Puerto Rico won 13-0 against Guam.

At the same time, the Estadio 11 de Noviembre in Cartagena will host the second U-15 tournament between Nicaragua and Venezuela. The first match between the two teams took place on August 20, 2012 in Chihuahua, Mexico, in the first edition of the U-15 Baseball World Championship, which replaced the Youth World Championship (U-16). Venezuela won that time by 10-7.

At 7 p.m., the Dominican Republic will make its 2024 World Cup debut against Japan in Barranquilla. It will be their second game at a U-15 World Cup since they competed in Panama in 2018, when Japan defeated the Caribbean islands 13-7.

In Cartagena de Indias, hosts Colombia and Italy will play their first tournament match in the last game of the day. It is their first game at a U-15 World Cup. The match kicks off at 7 p.m.
