So far this season, Shang has not had any notable results, but has remained consistent throughout the season, earning him a spot in the top 100 of the rankings.

According to the bookmakers, Casper is the favorite in this duel. Shang is a young Chinese who has shown great tennis here in New York so far. We believe that he has a good chance against Casper and that the match will remain exciting.

Here in New York, Shelton dominated against Thiem in the first round. Then, in the second round, Shelton defeated Bautista-Agut in straight sets, as we predicted. Ben is defending his semifinal points from last year. Last year in New York, Ben lost to Djokovic in the semifinals.

Frances Tiafoe has won four of his last five matches. Two weeks ago in Cincinnati, Frances reached the final where he lost to No. 1 Jannik Sinner in straight sets. It was the best tournament this season for a young American. Tiafoe looked strong throughout the tournament. Yesterday in the first round, Tiafoe defeated Kovacevic in four close sets. In the second round, Shevchenko retired midway through his match against Tiafoe. His biggest result here in New York was reaching the semifinals two years ago. Last year in New York, Frances reached the quarterfinals where he lost to Shelton in four close sets.

Best bet

According to the bookies, Ben is the slight favorite in this match. Both players tend to be inconsistent, so expect a rollercoaster ride. We believe this match could go either way.
