Toddler dies after falling from second-floor balcony while parents were at work

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A 2.5-year-old toddler died on Wednesday when he fell from the second floor in Khudel village in Indore. While playing, he accidentally landed on the balcony, fell from there and died while being treated. The police have registered the case and investigation is on.

According to the information, the deceased is Sakshi Sisodia. She was playing at her maternal grandparents’ house. While playing, she accidentally went to the balcony and tried to peek through the railing when she slipped and fell. According to reports, only her maternal uncle Jitendra was at home during the incident while the others went to work.

Immediately after the incident, the frightened uncle called his father and other family members. The police were also notified, who immediately arrived on the scene and took up the case.

Sakshi suffered severe injuries on her head and face. Her father took her to a nearby hospital. She was later referred to MY Hospital, where she died after five hours of treatment.

Mother was not informed for a long time

The grieving family did not inform Sakshi’s mother about the death of her toddler until the morning. Sakshi was their only child.

Sakshi’s father and mother had come to Indore from Khandwa only four months ago. The deceased toddler’s father, Badal, worked in a private company in the city.
