The Rings of Power Season 2 Release Schedule | When Will Episode 4 Be Released?

Co-showrunner Patrick McKay has hinted that this season will feature a fight that is “by far the most ambitious attempt we’ve made on the show,” putting the series “right at the top of the list of the most ambitious fights on television, period.”

Meanwhile, co-showrunner JD Payne has confirmed that the mystery surrounding the stranger’s identity – many assume it is Gandalf – will definitely be revealed this season.

When will episode 4 of “The Rings of Power” be released on Prime Video?

While the first three episodes of The Rings of Power were released simultaneously on Thursday, August 29, the series, like most Prime Video shows, has since moved to a weekly release schedule.

This means that the fourth episode will be Thursday, September 5.

There will be a total of eight episodes in the second season of The Rings of Power, with more episodes being released in the coming weeks until Thursday, October 3.

Prime Video usually releases new episodes of its series, including The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, 12 noon UTCor Universal Time Coordinated. Based on that, here’s where you can expect the availability of each new episode of season two:

  • 1am BST (British Summer Time)
  • 8:00 p.m. ET (Eastern Time)
  • 5:00 p.m. PT (Pacific Time)
  • 7:00 p.m. CT (Central Time)

What is Season 2 of The Rings of Power about?

The official synopsis for Season 2 of The Rings of Power reads: “In Season 2 of The Rings of Power, Sauron has returned. Cast out by Galadriel and without an army or allies, the aspiring Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power that will allow him to bend all the peoples of Middle-earth to his dark will.

“Building on the epic scope and ambition of the first season, the new season plunges even the most beloved and vulnerable characters into a rising tide of darkness, each of them must find their place in a world that is increasingly on the brink of disaster.

“Elves and dwarves, orcs and men, wizards and harfoots… as friendships are tested and kingdoms begin to crumble, the forces of goodwill fight ever more valiantly to preserve what matters most to them… each other.”
