Hana Lili presents her newest single-bedroom apartment ahead of her UK tour in autumn

With numerous great moments behind her, Hana Lilis Rise is now reaching its full bloom. Their previous single Find out was greeted with airplay by Sian Eleri for Radio 1’s Future Artists and John F. Kennedy on Radio X, while it also landed on a number of major Spotify playlists, led by New Music Friday. It received an additional boost with the confirmation of its first-ever headline tour, lily Now we continue with the new single Bedroom floor.

Bedroom floor finds lily She conjures up a potion of bubbly emo melodies with distorted waves of shoegaze guitars. But as always, she ensures that such rock influences are anchored within the framework of an instantly memorable pop song. Her authenticity once again informs the lyrics, which explore the kind of intense feelings that will appeal to her growing audience. While her vocals are consistently sweet and on point, she also injects a dose of personality into the track by including a recording of her voice bursting into laughter in the song’s final moments.

Hana says: “Bedroom floor is a song that describes the drama and cathartic feeling of living in the here and now. I had a lot of fun with the lyrics when writing this song, but also recognized the vulnerability of talking about your feelings, even happy, celebratory ones. When producing the track, I had a lot of fun running the synths through a variety of different guitar pedals, and I really enjoyed playing around with the juxtaposition of dramatic production sounds to create a contrast to talking about making out on the bedroom floor. Justification for the ‘big light’ being OFF!”
