Police alert: Missing 17-year-old girl from Manassas “in danger”

MISSING ENDANGERED YOUNG PEOPLE: Prince William County Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Maritza Ambrocio-Chavez, who was last seen around 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 28, leaving her home on Willoughby Lane in the Manassas neighborhood of Prince William County.

Maritza also sent disturbing messages to family members and drove away from the residence on the morning of August 28 in a black 2013 Nissan Altima with Virginia license plate TKX-4762.

Maritza is believed to be missing voluntarily but may need assistance and is therefore classified as vulnerable.

Maritza Ambrocio-Chavez is a Latina, 17 years old, 5’3″ tall, 125 lbs, with black hair, pierced ears, brown eyes and scars on her arms and thighs.

She was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with green trim and red and green Christmas-style pants.
