Last week, Starbucks unveiled its fall menu and new products; several fast-food chains are celebrating football season with special offers; IHOP is bringing back its all-you-can-eat pancakes and Chick-fil-A is launching a streaming service. Read all the food news from the last week.

This week, Bud Light releases a British beer can, more Red Lobster restaurants close, Olive Garden brings back its “Never Ending Pasta Bowl” promotion, and Pizza Hut releases movable cardboard tables.

Here is some news about food:

Football season is back in session and Bud Light is celebrating by releasing cans for 26 college football teams across the country in “official team colors and bold team logos.”

(Oh, and the University of Kentucky is one of them, but the University of Louisville is not.)

The cans are available wherever Bud Light is sold, the company said.

Anheuser-Busch also announced that the college teams’ packaging will include a QR code that fans can scan for more information on how to win a trip to an away game of their choice. To learn more, fans 21 and older can scan the QR code or visit www.budlight.com/easytogameday.

Dunkin’ fall menu, including pumpkin-flavored items, is now back.

“Whether guests are craving the classic pumpkin treats or sumptuous hash browns or want to try something new like our coffee milk latte, the Dunkalatte, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy at Dunkin’ this fall,” said Beth Turenne, vice president of category marketing at Dunkin’, in the press release.

Here’s a look at Dunkin’s entire fall menu with product descriptions.

  • Dark Latte (New): A coffee milk latte made by combining coffee milk and strong espresso.
  • Almond Spice Coffee (New): Original blend of iced coffee or hot coffee with sweet pumpkin and roasted almond flavors and almond milk.
  • Pumpkin Spice Signature Latte: Available hot or iced, it’s made with strong espresso and milk, flavored with sweet pumpkin and vanilla, warm fall spices, and topped with whipped cream, caramel, and cinnamon sugar.
  • Maple Sugar Bacon Breakfast Sandwich: A fried egg and white cheddar cheese in a flaky croissant. Maple Sugar Snackin’ Bacon is also available plain or in the Maple Sugar Bacon Wake-Up Wrap.
  • Loaded Hash Browns: Crispy rösti, garnished with warm cheddar queso and grated bacon.
  • Banana Chocolate Cake: A slice of banana bread studded with mini chocolate chips, pre-packaged to take away.
  • Apple cider donut: Back for the first time since 2021
  • Pumpkin Bakery Setup: With pumpkin muffin, pumpkin donut and pumpkin munchkins

Although it is not available in Kentucky, it is available to movers in Dallas, Charlotte and Orlando. These are three of the most popular U.S. cities for moving, according to Pizza Hut, which cites Penske’s 2023 Most Popular Moving Destinations list.

The Moving Box Table is available while supplies last and, according to Pizza Hut, will be given free with all takeout orders that include a large pizza at the menu price.

Olive Garden’s Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion returns for a limited time.

The restaurant’s “most popular” promotion is available nationwide through November 17 and starts at $13.99 and includes endless pasta plus “unlimited amounts” of breadsticks and soup or salad.

According to Olive Garden, customers also have the option to add as many toppings as they like for $4.99.

According to Olive Garden, the full pasta menu for the promotion includes:

  • Pasta: Fettuccine, spaghetti, rigatoni and angel hair
  • Sauces: Homemade Creamy Mushroom Sauce (vegetarian), Traditional Marinara (vegan), Five Cheese Marinara (vegetarian), Traditional Meat Sauce and Alfredo (vegetarian)
  • Surface: Meatballs, Italian sausage and crispy chicken fritta

In April, Red Lobster announced the closure of nearly 100 restaurants in the United States, several of them in Kentucky.

Now Red Lobster has announced even more closures.

No new closures were announced in Kentucky as part of the latest announcement. However, these locations in the state were previously announced to be closing:

  • Elisabeth City: 2020 N Dixie Ave.
  • Florence: 7921 Dream Street
  • Lexington: 2550 Nicholasville Road and 1848 Alysheba Way
  • Louisville: 4639 Outer Loop
  • Owensboro: 3410 Frederica Street
  • Paducah: 5151 Hinkleville Road
  • Richmond: 828 Eastern Bypass
  • St. Matthew: 986 Breckenridge Lane
