Mukul Agrawal Portfolio: PTC Industries approves minimum price for QIP, stock movement in focus

PTC Industries Share Price: Popular investor Mukul Agrawal’s stock fell over 3 percent in morning trade on the BSE on Thursday, August 29, a day after the company announced that its listing committee had approved the floor price of 13,894.42 per share for the proposed QIP.

PTC Industries’ share price opened at 14,999.95 compared to the previous closing price of 14,779.90 and fell by 3.24 percent to the level of 14,301.

“We would like to inform you that the Company’s Listing Committee approved the floor price for the QIP on August 28, 2024. 13,894.42 per ordinary share. The Committee has set the “relevant date” for the QIP as 28 August 2024 and accordingly the minimum price of the QIP will be 13,894.42 per common share. The Company may offer a discount of up to 5 percent on the minimum price for the QIP so calculated,” PTC Industries said in its stock exchange announcement after the close of trading on Wednesday, August 28.

In July of this year, the Board of Directors of PTC Industries approved the increase of 700 Crore through Qualified Institution Placement (QIP).

QIP is a capital raising tool that allows a publicly traded company to issue common stock to a qualified institutional buyer (QIB).

PTC Industries share price history

PTC Industries shares have risen sharply over the past year, with the stock up 151% year-over-year through the close on August 28.

The stock reached its 52-week low of 4,473.40 on November 13 last year and has been gaining since then, reaching its 52-week high of 15,650 on July 10 this year.

On a monthly basis, the share has been in positive territory since April of this year. So far in August, it has risen by around 4 percent.

According to PTC Industries Ltd.’s shareholder structure for the April-June 2024 quarter, top Indian investor Mukul Agrawal owns 1.67 lakh PTC Industries shares, representing 1.16 percent of the company’s total paid-up capital.
