My deer friend Nokotan has released a special anime image featuring Koshitan and Anko watching the sports festival in episode 9. WIT Studio is in charge of the animation, with Masahiko Ohta as director.

The rest of the regular cast includes Ayumu Tsujimura as character designer, Takashi Aoshima who is in charge of the script and composition, and Yasuhiro Misawa who is in charge of the music. The main voice cast consists of:

My deer friend Nokotan is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Oshioshio. It began serialization in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge in November 2019, while it transferred to the Magazine Pocket website in December 2023. Seven Seas Entertainment has licensed the manga in English and describes the story as follows:
Nobody knows that Torako used to be a delinquent. All her classmates only know her as a model student. But everything changes when Nokotan, an exchange student with antlers, enters her life. Antlers aren’t the only strange thing about Nokotan. Her deer nose can sniff out Torako’s secret past! Whether at school or at the zoo, chaos follows every step of this doe-eyed girl. Torako has so many questions! Is Nokotan a deer, a girl, or something in between?
