Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone The universe has captured another offshoot — The Madison — into development.

The series will not follow the Dutton family, as Season 5B of the flagship series awaits its premiere and will mark a sort of farewell to John Dutton (Kevin Costner) and other characters, although Costner will not return. A Season 6 of Yellowstone is under discussion.

The Madison will follow the McIntosh family, a New York family living in the Madison River Valley in central Montana.

Who will be there The Madison?

Michelle Pfeiffer was first confirmed as the lead actress in the spin-off. She will play the mother of two daughters – Beau Garrett and Elle Chapman. Chapman’s role is Paige McIntosh, who enjoys the New York lifestyle maintained by her parents and husband. Patrick J. Adams will play Russell McIntosh, Paige’s husband, an investment banker. Garrett will play Abigail Reese, a New York mother of two who recently went through a divorce. Amiah Miller will play Abigail’s eldest daughter Brigitte.

Deadline exclusively reported on Matthew Fox joining the project in the role of Paul, a bachelor who loves nature.

Rumors have been circulating that Kurt Russell is joining the project, but nothing has been confirmed. TVLine had the news first.

The show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions. Creator Sheridan will serve as executive producer alongside Pfeiffer, David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Christina Voros, Michael Friedman and Keith Cox.

Has The Madison started production?

Production is scheduled to begin in late August, with a premiere planned for 2025.
