Beetlejuice is widely considered to be the scariest Michael Keaton performance of all time, not to mention the character’s iconic sense of style. Now the horrific fashion and design is once again filtered through an anime girl filter.

To celebrate the upcoming sequel Beetlejuice, Beetlejuicethe Kotobukiya Beetlejuice Bishojou statue is now being re-released after four long years. Back from the dead and better than ever, the figure is currently available for pre-order – and while it won’t quite be released at the same time as the new film, fans will be able to unleash the juice on their shelves soon.

A Beetlejuice anime collectible is available again after 4 years

Part of the Bishojou The “new” Beetlejuice statue comes from the Kotobukiya line and is actually a reissue of an older collectible. The character’s first foray into the world of anime girls was seen in June 2020, and the reissue has all the bells and whistles of that first version. Standing just over 8 inches tall, the figure perfectly takes the design of Michael Keaton’s horror movie fanatic and turns him into a gorgeous lady. She is seen filing her nails in a casual, playful manner, and also sits on the grave of Barbara Maitland from the film. Aside from a damn good postmortem gender bender, this version of Beetlejuice feels a lot like Tim Burton’s classic character, albeit much more “anime” in nature.

The figure was sculpted and designed by Masato Ohata and Shunya Yamashita, both of whom have worked on many other entries in Kotobukiya’s lineup. Bishojou Line. Made from durable PVC and ABS, fans don’t have to worry about Beetlejuice’s head shrinking during transport. They can pre-order their own statue for $145, although the reissued statue unfortunately won’t be available until Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice is coming to theaters. The statue is expected to be delivered between April and June 2025, but you can at least enjoy it when the delayed sequel hits streaming. Bishojou line has remixed numerous franchises and properties that otherwise have nothing to do with anime with other supernatural and horror film franchises, such as The Ring give their antagonists colorful shojo remixes.
