Honda recalls CB Unicorn and CB Hornet 160R » MotorOctane

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recalled two of its motorcycle models, namely the CB Unicorn 160 and the CB Hornet 160R. This recall was done quietly. What is the recall about?

The recall is due to numerous customer complaints. The problem affected the instrument cluster. On many motorcycles, the clock on the digital console did not work.

Customers of these motorcycles have been asked by Honda dealers to bring the motorcycles with this problem to the workshop. The workshop will have the motorcycle thoroughly inspected. Faulty instrument clusters will be replaced free of charge. The warranty will not be affected and this recall also includes motorcycles without a warranty. This inspection is free of charge and customers will not be charged for the inspection.

Owners of these motorcycles can make an appointment in advance at a nearby Honda service station. This saves the owners inconvenience and reduces the crowds at the service stations. Both the CB Unicorn and the CB Hornet 160R are successful models of Honda and have a large fan following. It was a smart move by Honda to recall the motorcycles to solve this problem. HMSI has been doing well and sales have increased in the last quarter. Exports have also increased.
