Dance teacher found murdered with slit throat in Bengaluru, husband arrested

Bengaluru: A 28-year-old dance teacher was found murdered with her throat slit in her house in Kengeri on Wednesday morning.

Police have arrested the victim’s husband in connection with the crime.

At around 6 am on Wednesday morning, Aishwarya, a friend of the victim, woke up and found Navyashree lying in a pool of blood. In shock, she screamed to alert the neighbours.

Aishwarya called the police helpline to report the incident. Based on her statements, the police arrested Navyashree’s 31-year-old husband Kiran A.

According to police, there were marital problems between Kiran and Navyashree, especially because Kiran was suspicious of Navyashree. As a result, Navyashree did not feel safe at home and had confided in her friends about her fear for her safety just a day before the murder.

On Tuesday, Navyashree met her friends Aishwarya and Anil to discuss her problems. She mentioned that she felt unsafe at home. After their evening together, Aishwarya accompanied Navyashree to her house and stayed overnight.

When Aishwarya woke up on Wednesday morning, she found her clothes wet and noticed Navyashree’s lifeless body.

Her statements about the couple’s marital disputes proved to be crucial information in the case. The police have now arrested Kiran and are continuing their investigation.

According to police, Navyashree and Aishwarya had drunk beer the previous night and then fell into a deep sleep. At 5:30 am, Kiran entered the house with a spare key, slit Navyashree’s throat and fled.

Navyashree, who had been married to Kiran for three years, was a dance teacher. Kiran, a taxi driver, became suspicious of her behavior, which investigators believe may have been the trigger for the murder.
