Jazz hires sideline reporter, new broadcast role for Holly Rowe

SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz television broadcast will have a new face in the 2024-25 season with the hiring of sideline reporter Lauren Green and a role change for Holly Rowe.

Green will step in as the team’s sideline reporter, a change for the broadcaster that hasn’t used that role since Kristen Kenney left in 2021.

Who is the new Jazz Sideline Reporter?

Lauren Green comes to Jazz Broadcast after most recently working as a sports anchor and reporter at NBC News affiliate station KOB 4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Green also worked as a track and field analyst for the Mountain West Sports Network and as a sideline reporter for the Pac-12 Network, covering both the NBA Summer League and the NCAA Tournament.

“Lauren’s extensive sports reporting experience and engaging style will bring an exciting perspective to our nightly game coverage,” said Travis Henderson, senior vice president of broadcasting. “We look forward to introducing her to Jazz fans as she will help bring the broadcasts closer to them this season and bring them closer to the action.”

Green was a track and field athlete at the University of Reno, Nevada, and earned his master’s degree in sports journalism from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Arizona State University.

Holly Rowe has a new role in the show

After joining the Jazz as a basketball analyst in 2021, Rowe will see a changed role for the 2024-25 season.

The BYU and University of Utah graduate will serve as a game reporter on live game broadcasts this season and will also be involved in pre-, halftime and post-game coverage at select home games, the press release said.

Rowe previously accompanied Craig Bolerjack and Thurl Bailey on the live broadcast.

Bolerjack returns to the Jazz for his 20th season as the team’s live commentator.

Former Jazz player Thurl Bailey returns for his 23rd year as a sportscaster after serving as both an analyst and pregame and postgame host.

David Locke returns for his 16th season as the Jazz’s live commentator and will continue to be supported by the legendary voice of Ron Boone.

The former Jazz and Utah Stars guard begins his 37th season on the broadcast team.
