Ryanne Brubaker is quickly becoming one of the most dominant Volleyball at high school player in the country as a sophomore. She is a cheat code from the bench in the middle block for Grundy Center in Iowa.

In comparison, everyone else on the pitch looks tiny!

Brubaker is an imposing figure in the middle. The right-hander is already 6′ tall at just 15 years old. To put her size in perspective, she would have been the second tallest player on Team USA in Paris last month.

Only Dana Rettke is listed as taller on the Olympic list at 2.03 m. The legendary blocker from Wisconsin is 10 years older (!!) than Brubaker and graduated from high school in 2017. She is a single inch larger than the fast-rising recruits of the class of 2027.

Grundy Center is an extremely small school in the Hawkeye State, about 70 miles northeast of Ames and 80 miles northeast of Des Moines. Its total enrollment is just 235 students.

Brubaker, of course, is one of them. She put together a great performance as a substitute for the Spartans, ranked No. 14 in Class 2A, in a season-opening sweep on Tuesday.

There is simply no way to beat them!

When Ryanne Brubaker isn’t closing down the net, she’s an attacking machine. Her reach is incredible, allowing her to swing her hands down and work the block when there’s no gap.

It is impossible for Grundy’s much smaller opponents to get on par.

Brubaker is still a mature volleyball player. She can still improve as both a hitter and a blocker. However, the 6-foot-4 midfielder is well on her way to a Division I scholarship. She is only a sophomore in high school, and size cannot be taught.

Remember the name because Ryanne Brubaker is on the rise!
