From the Curtis Cup to great glory

Allisen Corpus

Allisen Corpuz is the youngest Curtis Cup player to win a major tournament. After representing the U.S. team in Conwy, Wales in August 2021, she claimed her first major victory less than two years later at the U.S. Women’s Open.
Corpuz shot 69, 70, 71 and 69 at Pebble Beach in July 2023 to finish nine under par and win by three strokes. She was the only player in the field to finish four rounds under par.
At the 2021 Curtis Cup, she helped her team to a 12.5-7.5 victory and achieved a record of 3-0 in singles and four-ball.
Since then, Corpuz has represented the United States at the 2023 Solheim Cup and will make his second appearance in the event next month at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia.

Lilia Vu

After representing the United States at the 2018 Curtis Cup at Quaker Ridge in New York, Lilia Vu had a standout season in 2023, becoming the first American since Juli Inkster in 1999 to win two majors in the same year.
She took her first major victory at the Chevron Championship at The Club in Carlton Woods, and just over three months later she achieved a second major success at the AIG Women’s Open.
Her victory at the Chevron Championship came in overtime, defeating Angel Yin after the two were tied in regulation play and both finished 10 under par.
Her first major victory may have been the hardest, but she ultimately won the AIG Women’s Open in Walton Heath by a comfortable six-stroke margin – she shot two 67s in a row over the weekend and finished the tournament at 14 under par.
Vu will make his second appearance at the Solheim Cup in a few weeks.

Jennifer Kupcho

Like Vu, Jennifer Kupcho represented the USA at the 2018 Curtis Cup and has enjoyed great success since then.
The former Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion won the 2022 Chevron Championship at Mission Hills Country Club.
Although this was her first LPGA title, it was the start of an impressive winning streak that included triumphs at the Meijer LPGA Classic and the Dow Great Lakes Invitational over the next three months.
In her only Curtis Cup appearance, Kupcho recorded three wins, one loss and a half (3-1-1) and helped the USA to a dominant 17-3 victory.
She has already competed in the Solheim Cup twice in 2021 and 2023 and was selected as captain’s choice for this year’s event.

Georgia Hall

Georgia Hall is GB&I’s youngest Curtis Cup representative to win a major.
Four years after competing in the Solheim Cup at St. Louis Country Club in 2014, she won the AIG Women’s Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes in 2018.
Since then, Hall has won two titles on the LPGA Tour and finished runner-up at the 2021 AIG Women’s Open.
After representing Europe in 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2023, she will compete in the Solheim Cup for the fifth time next month.
