The Food Network’s newest cooking competition adds an exciting element to the cooking chaos. While Tituss Burgess could lighten up his hosting duties a bit, this hotel-inspired TV cooking show could put a new spin on Lucky 13.

Food Network continues to develop its food TV program. While certain main ingredients such as the Baking Championships and even Tournament of Champions Viewers watch all the action over and over again, new, creative takes on culinary concepts often keep people watching and streaming. Shows like 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing is a prime example.

The newest show to join the schedule this fall is Last Bite Hotel. While the concept may sound a little scary, the competition show has several twists and turns that make each episode exciting.

Twists, surprises and a little luck will be part of this hotel-themed show hosted by Tituss Burgess. Whether Burgess will sing a song remains to be seen, but the Food Network broadcast promises to be an exciting affair.

Betsy Ayala, Head of Content, Food, commented: “Last Bite Hotel takes the ingenuity of culinary creativity to a whole new level. The precious ingredients are carefully chosen before the chefs even set foot in the kitchen. The twists and turns of the competition are made even more exciting by the macabre playfulness of the incredibly talented Tituss Burgess as the hotel manager.”

According to Food Network, the following chefs are competing for the title: Brittanny Anderson (Richmond, VA), Gabriella Baldwin (Detroit, MI), Graham Campbell (Edinburg, TX), Tobias Dorzon (Baltimore, MD), Byron Gomez (Denver, CO), Kevin Lee (Oklahoma, OK), Nini Nguyen (New Orleans, LA) and Aarthi Sampath (New York, NY).

As the list shows, several familiar faces to Food Network viewers will be serving up their best dishes. It will take a lot to impress the VIP guest judges, who include Esther Choi, Cat Cora, Jose Garces, Alex Guarnaschelli, Judy Joo, Poppy O’Toole, Marcus Samuelsson, Michael Symon and Andrew Zimmern.

The biggest twist on this TV cooking show is that “each chef is only allowed to bring 13 ingredients for their entire stay.” While it’s likely that there will be more than 13 ingredients in total during the six-week competition, the reality is that the chefs’ creativity will be challenged by the limited number of ingredients, adapting to guests’ preferences, and the other tasks.

Anyone can make a great dish from their repertoire. Only great chefs can cook outside their comfort zone.

Who will be the last chef standing? Don’t miss the premiere on Tuesday, September 24 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Episodes will be available to stream the next day on MAX.
