NCT’s Taeil removed from the group due to sex crimes

NCT’s Taeil has been removed from the group effective immediately following recent news about his unspecified sexual crimes.

The announcement was made by NCT’s parent company SM Entertainment, which released its official statement on X (formerly Twitter) today (August 28, 2024) – informing the public of the seriousness of the situation and its immediate actions against such allegations. According to the entertainment company, the K-pop star is currently cooperating with authorities in the investigation of his crimes, and both he and the label have mutually agreed on the decision that he will leave the famous music group. “This is SM Entertainment.

We recently confirmed that Taeil is involved in criminal proceedings related to sexual crimes.

Upon investigating the situation, we found that the issue is very serious and we have decided that Taeil can no longer continue with team activities. We have discussed this matter with Taeil and it has been decided that he will be removed from the group.

Currently, Taeil is cooperating faithfully with the police investigation. We will release further statements as the investigation progresses.

We deeply apologize for the controversy our artist has caused.”

The relevant authorities are currently conducting investigations.

Taeil debuted as a member of NCT, NCT U and their most popular subgroup NCT 127 and has been active in the group since their debut training team in 2015. In addition to his work with NCT, he has also contributed to various Korean soundtracks – including those of Twenty-five, twenty-one, Missing Crown PrinceAnd I love to hate youamong several others.
