After leaving Strictly, Giovanni Pernice seems to be looking for new ways to increase his income.

The 33-year-old Italian dancer is charging fans up to nearly £140 for a meet and greet with him on his upcoming “Last Dance” tour.

Fans who purchase the VIP ticket will receive a photo opportunity with Giovanni and a signed print.

Giovanni is awaiting the outcome of a BBC investigation into actress Amanda Abbington’s claims that he was “abusive, cruel and mean” to her during training – claims he strongly denies.

The five-month tour begins in January next year and will take in the whole of Great Britain.

Giovanni is awaiting the outcome of a BBC investigation into actress Amanda Abbington’s claims that he was “abusive, cruel and mean” to her during training – claims he strongly denies.

Giovanni had previously lost £350,000 from television jobs as he was still not exonerated from the four-month BBC investigation.

He had hoped to shine in the Strictly ballroom in Italy after leaving the BBC dance show.

But as the Mail on Sunday revealed last week, Giovanni was told by the makers of the Italian show that they could not book him for this year’s season because he had still not been cleared by investigators four months after the investigation began.

Giovanni had been in discussions with the bosses of Ballando con le Stelle for several months and they were excited about the prospect of having him as one of their professional dancers.

However, they are devastated to have to withdraw the offer – which would have been worth around £100,000 to the Italian dancer – as the BBC has still not secured an acquittal from him following its internal investigation into Amanda’s claims that he bullied her during rehearsals.

Giovanni is also unlikely to appear on ITV’s reality show I’m a Celebrity, a deal that could have earned him around £250,000.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: “Gio was so excited to be able to carry on dancing and what made it even better was that it would have been in his home country.”

“But the deadline was approaching and Ballando bosses could no longer wait for the BBC to announce its verdict. They are as devastated as Gio.

“It’s absolutely horrific for Gio. He’s stuck in limbo and can’t move on with his life.

“He has so many offers on the table, but without the BBC clearing his name, he can’t go on. No one can understand why it’s taking so long.

“He’s losing a lot of money. Amanda’s allegations were presented to him many weeks ago and none of it proved that he was a bully like he claimed all along.

“He has a clear case against the BBC here. They put him in a room with a woman without doing the most basic of checks, which ultimately put him in a position where his career is potentially ruined and his source of income cut off.”

They added: “Gio was forced to leave Strictly because of Amanda’s claims and now his chance of continuing is ruined.”

Released in 2005 – a year after the UK release of Strictly – Ballando con le Stelle was filmed in a magnificent 19th-century theatre in the RAI Auditorium at the Foro Italico in Rome.

Giovanni hired law firm Schillings in April after Amanda filed a formal complaint with the BBC.
