British singer and rapper Bree Runway will open the series of shows on 8 October at Lafayette, London, the same day as alternative rock artist RØRY at 100 Club, London.

I am so excited to be partnering with War Child for Day of the Girl,” says Bree Runway. “It fills my heart with joy to know that through this project and the night I will be headlining, we can be a vessel of upliftment and encouragement for women. I am deeply grateful to be able to partner with War Child to help create real change and opportunity for the next generation. It’s going to be an electrifying night and I can’t wait to pour my heart out on stage and celebrate a truly important cause.”

RØRY, UK singer and breakthrough artist of the 2024 Heavy Music Awards, recently supported War Child by donating all the money raised from her song “MORALITY $UICIDE” and a t-shirt sale. “When girls stand together, we can’t get anything done. Day of the Girl is a great opportunity to celebrate the power of female unity and support each other to create a better future,” she said.

Indie folk artist Matilda Mann will take the stage at Lafayette on October 9th and Connie Constance will play at The Lexington on October 12th.

Empowering women through my music is incredibly important to me, so I’m excited to celebrate our female power by headlining one of the shows. Equal opportunities for all children is a dream I share too. With so much devastation happening around the world, I’m grateful to be able to be part of the change whilst sharing the stage with some of the UK’s most interesting alternative artists. Expect a night of indie parties, female fronted rockstars and raw talent.”
