The Dance Arts Academy Foundation is dedicated to empowering youth and nurturing their creativity through high-quality, accessible dance education. Their mission is to provide a holistic approach to arts education that nurtures both the body and mind, with an emphasis on identity, community, and youth well-being. Their vision is to create a world where every child has the opportunity to thrive through the arts and build the resilience to overcome the obstacles many face in urban communities.

This program is unique in its approach to arts education, offering after-school programs and subsidized cultural arts education. They focus on youth identity, community, and well-being, ensuring that every child has the tools to build confidence, express themselves, and contribute positively to society.

Ibrahim is a professional dancer/choreographer, award-winning author, and activist. After a successful career in dance, Ibrahim has now focused on using the arts to improve the lives of marginalized children. As the founder and director of the Dance Arts Academy Foundation, she is passionate about using dance as a tool for social-emotional learning and empowerment, and helping children develop confidence and resilience through creative expression.

They invite the entire community to join them for a day of dancing, fun and service. Come together to support local students while celebrating the joy of movement.
