A man has been charged with murder and other counts in connection with an alleged drunken-driving crash in Temple City that killed a woman and her 10-year-old daughter, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Diego Santoscruz, 27, is scheduled to go on trial in an Alhambra courtroom on September 24. He is charged with two counts of murder, manslaughter while intoxicated and driving while intoxicated causing personal injury, prosecutors said.

According to court documents, he is also accused of having been convicted of drunk driving once in the last ten years. Several victims were injured or killed in the accident, and serious injuries were also sustained.
