Trevon Diggs returns to the Dallas Cowboys after nearly a year off after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament early last season. Dallas expects big things from its cornerback, who has recorded 18 interceptions in his NFL career and remains one of the league’s best ball-catchers despite the injury.

Diggs’ big year includes a baby

Another exciting change is about to happen in Diggs’ life, as his ex-girlfriend, Joie Chavis has just given birth to her daughter.

Diggs posted a photo on his Instagram story on Tuesday showing him holding the newborn in his arms.

Chavis also shared the news via Instagram Stories and posted videos of her making FaceTime calls with various family members and friends to share the news. Neither Diggs nor Chavis mentioned the little girl’s name or birth date/time, but both posted on Tuesday, and The song that plays over the videos in Chavis’ story is “Can I Call You Rose?” by Thee Sacred Souls. Maybe she’s Baby Rose.

Chavis and Diggs began dating sometime in 2022, and Chavis announced the pregnancy in March 2024, naming Diggs as the father. Over the summer, however, She confirmed that she and Diggs are no longer togetherand responded to an Instagram comment with the words “it’s obvious”.

Diggs and Chavis both have other children from previous relationships. Chavis has a 13-year-old daughter, Shai, with rapper Bow Wow and a five-year-old son, Hendrix, with rapper Future. Diggs has eight-year-old Aiaden and three-year-old Chosen. Aaiden’s biological mother is unknown, but Chosens is rumored to be Diggs’ ex-girlfriend Yasmine Lopez. Aaiden actually became quite popular among Cowboys fans because of his loving support of his father on game days. Diggs’ baby with Chavis will be his first daughter.

Neither Chavis nor Diggs have commented on the reasons for their separation, but both are used to being parents together and it looks like Diggs was able to attend the birthso it looks like Baby Rose (?) will be a part of his life.
