The Packers could rely on surprise dismissals from the Broncos to gain a dynamic weapon

There was a lot of movement in the National Football League on Tuesday.

Teams had to trim their rosters down to 53 players, which, not surprisingly, led to a number of surprising moves. One of them was the release of receiver Tim Patrick from the Denver Broncos.

Franchises have had to make many difficult decisions, and Patrick was unfortunately the victim of one such decision. While that is the case, he likely won’t be available much longer after being released by the Broncos on Tuesday, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“The Broncos released wide receivers Tim Patrick, Lil’Jordan Humphrey and David Sills, running back Samaje Perine, fullback Michael Burton, center Sam Mustipher, guard Calvin Throckmorton and inside linebacker Jonas Griffith,” Schefter said.

He’s a talented receiver who has averaged over 730 receiving yards and at least five touchdowns in each of the last two seasons. He’s someone a team in need of a wide receiver will give a shot at in the near future.

Patrick is someone the Green Bay Packers should give a chance to. The Packers have some interesting young talent, but it wouldn’t hurt to add another capable receiver to the team.

It has been said at various points over the summer that the Packers are looking to add reinforcements and Patrick could be a cheap option that could make an immediate impact. Why not give him a chance?
