preamble
So here we are, and there we wereto coin a popular phrase from 30 years ago. That’s history. Yes, Sean Dyche may have smiled at the news of the big comeback this morning, but he’s doing a good job. Lose at home to Doncaster and the groans of Goodison will probably be heard in Heaton Park, not to mention Stanley Park. Everton’s start to the season has been so poor that this game is the main game of a meaty Tuesday night in the tournament that is often more fun than you give it credit for.
Unless otherwise stated, all matches kick off at 7:45am UK time.
