Global streaming media company Plex and A+E Networks EMEA, a joint venture between Hearst and Sky in the UK, announced on August 27 the upcoming launch of five free ad-supported streaming TV channels (FAST) in the UK.
A+E Networks’ EMEA content on Plex includes shows and series from the UK and US, including history, true crime, mystery and World War II stories. The newly launched channels are Inside Crime, History Hunters, World War TV, Mystery TV and Deal Masters.
Plex combines FAST channels with ad-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) content for more than 22 million monthly active users worldwide. Plex’s other content partners include Lionsgate, New Regency, Banijay Rights, Fremantle Trinity Creative, Kaleidoscope Films and Signature Entertainment.
